Sam Sims

Singer-songwriter / musician

Vocals, Guitar, Ukulele, Harmonica

Sam Sims sings a variety of original compositions as well as covers. He performs with guitar, ukulele, and harmonica. The music is a unique sound rooting from acoustic soul, pop, island, and folk-rock influences. Inspired by nature, Sam’s original songs have a relaxing laid-back vibe.

Sam has shared stages with respected acts such as Willie Nile (who frequently plays with Bruce Springsteen), Steve Forbert, The Beach Boys and Rob Machado (surfer extraordinaire). Sam Sims Band also opened for Bob Marley’s legendary band, The Wailers, on two occasions. 

The music has featured on prime-time television shows and radio stations worldwide. Notably, The Hawaiian Christmas Song  featured on CBS Hawaii 5-0.

Sam has played at the NAMM show, showcased at venues during the Sundance Film Festival, performed at the Zihuantanejo International Guitar Festival in Mexico, and played on The Mountain Morning Show, Park City, UT. He has performed at variety of venues in locations including New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Hawaii, California, Utah, Washington DC, Texas, Nicaragua, Tobago, and Costa Rica. Sam Sims Band has performed at other noteworthy events including Film One Festival, Rock the Farm, and The NJ QuickChek Festival of Ballooning. 

Sam has volunteered in the United States and Nicaragua with organizations such as the Surfrider Foundation, Clean Ocean Action, Mary's Place, and the CFC Loud N Clear Foundation. 

Some of Sam’s musical influences include Van Morrison, David Gray, Jim Croce, Ben Harper, and Jack Johnson. Sam’s personal interests include swimming, yoga, surfing, SUP, and meditation.

Kyle Ward

Musician / Producer

Lead Guitar and Vocals

Kyle Ward is an extremely versatile musician, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. He has been playing music his entire life and now resides in sunny Los Angeles, California.

Kyle graduated from Berklee College of Music and has been the lead guitarist for award winning artists. Notably, Kyle’s band Ardvark Smile won the "Rock-to-the-Top" Contest at the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park. 

Kyle is the lead guitarist for the Sam Sims Band and renowned groups such as the WimBash-All Stars. 

Kyle now produces music for artists under his own record label.

Dimitris Kulaga

percussion / drums / vocals

Congas, Tumba, Bongos, Djembe, Timbales, Clave, Cabasa, Tambourine, Cow Bells, Shakers, Chimes, Kalimbas, Cajon, Turkish Drum, Guiro, Drum Kit

Dimitris became inspired to play drums at age twelve after drawing inspiration from his friend Tico Torres of Bon Jovi. His passion to play hand percussion grew immensely after listening to Shelia E. from Prince. 

Dimitris plays various genres of music. He has performed internationally on cruise ships sailing through the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Aegean, and Ionian Seas. 

Dimitris continues to work as a studio percussionist and drummer. He has worked with over four hundred musicians and bands throughout his musical career. 

Dimitris actively supports non-profits such as Musicians on a Mission, the Monmouth County Arts Council, Joan Dancy & PALS (ALS) Foundation, the Light-of-Day Foundation, Mary's Place, and the CFC Loud N Clear Foundation. 

Dimitris enjoys biking, SUP, and traveling to inspirational places such as the Caribbean and the Greek isles. He also enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, family, and friends.

Pongsapak Kiatpreecha

"Special K"

Bass, Drums, Percussion, Vocals

Pongsapak was born and raised in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Pongsapak started playing music at an early age, initially learning to play drums through worship music at church and blues gigs at local bars. 

Pongsapak performed in a variety of musical groups ranging from full orchestras to small fusion-jazz and acoustic combos. His early music experience inspired him to pursue a degree at Berklee College of Music where he received a degree in production & contemporary writing . Notably, he has performed at the Boston Symphony Hall. He coined the nickname Special K, reflecting his overall vibe and versatile music abilities.

Pongsapak continues to work as studio musician and producer. He loves music and spreading good vibes. In his free time, he explores the world taking pictures and writing songs to document his travels.

Lou D'Alotto

"Lou Dog"

Guitar, Violin, Vocals

Lou started his musical career early on with the violin. In high school Lou was concert master of the school orchestra. Notably, he performed with legendary R&B artists including Ben E. King and Darlene Love. Entering his teen years, Lou started playing guitar and began guitar lessons with renowned jazz guitarist Roni Ben-Hur. Upon graduating high school Lou received the Louis Armstrong Award for outstanding musical achievement. 

Lou attended jazz arts programs in Saint-Cézaire, France and in New York state. During his residency he performed with jazz greats such as Helio Alves, Steve Williams, Tim Horner, and Santi Debriano. Lou received a degree from Berklee College of Music in Professional Music Performance and Latin Music Performance. He also studied under acclaimed guitarist Ben Sher. 

Lou’s interests lie in developing music that produces distinct ardent meaning. His influences include Carlos Santana, Chick Corea, Andy Timmons, James Brown, Coldplay, Young the Giant, and Rebelution. 

Lou is also a member of the band Remember Jones. He is a sought-after guitar instructor in his home state of New Jersey.
